Europe: Interreg to fund innovative projects aiming to improve migrants' skills

The third call for proposals within the framework of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme is now open. The second priority of its 'innovation and knowledge development' thematic focuses on applications aiming to improve skills and entrepreneurial competences of migrants. The goal is to advance economic and social innovation in central European regions through better labour market integration of migrants and other disadvantaged groups.

The Programme is addressed to public and private organisations that want to work together with Central European partners on shared challenges in their cities and regions. The minimum requirement for a project partnership is the participation of three financing partners from at least three countries from the nine EU member states to choose from (Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia), eight German Länder (Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, and Thüringen) and nine Italian regions (Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardia, Piemonte, Provincia Autonoma Bolzano, Provincia Autonoma Trento, Valle d’Aosta, and Veneto)]. The typical project duration is around 36 months.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 25 January 2018.
